HI! I'm Caroline C. Barney - an author, speaker, and storyteller whose work centers on one core belief: connection changes everything.

For more than two decades, I've helped individuals and organizations find their footing, clarifying who they are, what they stand for, and how to build something that actually lasts. As a former Advertising Managing Director and EVP at Omnicom, I was named to Ad Age's 40 Under 40 and worked with organizations ranging from Fortune 500 companies to the White House. That career taught me a lot about strategy, narrative, and what makes people and organizations move.

But the most important things I've learned haven't come from a boardroom. They've come from the chaos of life, both the hard and the beautiful parts. The moments that cracked me open and forced me to figure out what I actually believed about myself, about others, and about faith.

That's what my new book, Connected: From Stuck to Thriving in the Middle of the Chaos (October 2026), is about. It's for anyone who has a full life but still feels quietly (or maybe not so quietly) stuck and disconnected. It's the book I wish someone had handed me years ago.

I'm also the author of the award-winning Trebor Tales children's series, and I lead a women's ministry at my home church that has grown into a community of hundreds. I write the Connected & Thriving newsletter for people who want encouragement to build lives that are resilient, full of joy, deeper, and more aligned with what actually matters.

I live in Connecticut with my husband Craig, our two college-age daughters, and our very enthusiastic goldendoodle.
